Be Prepared
 
Probably your first thought is the Boy Scouts motto.   However, Jesus taught this lesson 2,000 years ago.  I urge you to read the parable of the 10 Virgins and the Lamps, Matthew 25:1-13.  The Women's Bible study just studied this parable.   We are admonished to be prepared.  So, how are you preparing yourself?   You are invited to a banquet; are you prepared to attend?  Appetizers are served in the Narthex of our church in the Library display each month, and an invitation is extended each month in our Newsletter to attend the banquet of books in our library that will feed you spiritually.   But you are like the unprepared virgins.  Where have you been?   But, more importantly where are you going?
