Congratulations to Pat Smith who was selected to be St. Jude's Honored Woman by the Women of St. Jude A.C.W. The selection of the honored woman was to remain a secret until the October 16, 2010 Luncheon held at the Lamplighter Inn in Visalia.
Pat was totally surprised she had been selected, and fellow attendees Fr. Wes, Diane Elderson and Judy Auger were duly delighted with her reaction. Fr. Wes presented Pat to the approximately 125 women and priests attending. She was given a beautiful cross as a gift of recognition by the Diocesan ACW president.

Thanksgiving is an excellent time to talk about give and take. Think of Ecclesiastes and there being a season for everything under the sun. Foremost, this is the season to give thanks for the multitude of blessings we have. It is a time to take time to give thanks to Jehova Jirah, our provider.
Take time to study his word.
Take time to worship Him.
Take yourself to church to give support and love to your fellow Christians and take their love and friendship home with you.
Take time to strengthen your faith so that you can give it to others.
Take time to pray and take what the Lord will give you.
Take time to read. The month of November the Library display in the Narthex will be
dedicated to devotional materials. Please give them your attention.
